Marchant's School Sport Ltd. was founded in 1975 in Scarborough, Ontario. The sporting goods company was started by Bruce Marchant and only one other employee. Today, Marchant's School Sport has expanded to offer one of the largest lines of wholesale sporting goods in Canada. With approximately 50 employees, two locations and in 2006 doubling its square footage to over 32,000 sq feet of warehouse and showrooms, Marchant's is able to service Canada with top-quality game uniforms, practice wear, corporate wear and sporting goods equipment. Still a family owned and managed business; we are committed to supplying quality products with the value, performance, and services that you’ve grown to expect from Marchant's School Sport.
Services Marchant's School Sport provides include:
- Marchant's School Uniforms - a full service academic school uniform division.
- MSS Screen Printing - an on site complete screen printing department.
- MSS Embroidery - an on site computerized embroidery department.
- Sparling Designs - an on site custom cut and sew operation.
- Graphic Design - on site artists who can help you choose between Stock Ready Art or custom Art created from your rough sketches or instruction.
And other areas such as our custom cut and sew twill lettering and heat seal capabilities.
The Scarborough Sharks Girls Hockey Association has provided girls of all ages with a place to experience the game of hockey since 1978. They have a house league program, a competitive rep program and host an annual tournament in January. There are approximately 400 girls registered playing house league or rep hockey (or both).
The Association has 23 house league teams divided into four divisions this year. In the competitive rep program, there are 12 teams in seven different age divisions, ranging from Novice to Intermediate. The rep teams play in the North Metro Girls Hockey League and will also play in a number of tournaments, including the Provincials, throughout the season.
